"Undoubtedly you have many important questions and concerns regarding your big day.
Hopefully this section will help answer many of your concerns! The following questions are typically the most commonly asked - as noted by ask.com" -David

1. What’s your primary style? Posed and formal, relaxed,
photo-journalistic, creative, artistic, candid, traditional?

Hopefully after taking a look at my gallery you will conclude that I have a style that captures all of these aspects. I find
most couples want a wide variety of styles and images captured on their wedding day. While I do feel I have a strength capturing formal posed and relaxed shots...I really enjoy the journalistic side the most...usually I find my favorite shots are the ones that just happen and are not planned.

2. Do you shoot in color or black and white? Or both?
Do you shoot in a digital format that can create both color
and b/w versions of the same picture?

In 2006 I bid farewell to film and made the switch to Professional digital. Shooting Digital now enables me to provide Color, Black and White and Sepia of each and every shot to my clients.

3. What kind of input can we have on the direction
of the shots? Can we give you a shot list to work from?

I always welcome ideas from my clients! Usually I will meet the bride and groom at a coffee shop and we will discuss style and art and plan out a custom fit for the personality of the couple.

4. Are you the wedding photographer who will actually
take our pictures? If not, can we meet the person who will be?

I am your Boy! For my higher end packages I bring a secondary professional photographer with me...usually this is my amazing wife. Just between you and me I think she is a better photographer than myself...some of my favorite shots on this site were shot by her!

5. Can we meet any assistants who will also be our taking pictures?

Of course! I am very proud of my secondary photographers and would be happy to introduce you to them before your wedding day.

6. How many times have you worked specifically
as a wedding photographer? How many were similar
to the size and formality of our wedding?

I have been a photographer for over 10 years and in that time I have shot a large variety of weddings from the very big to the very small and from very formal to laid back. I am well equipped and ready to capture your day!

7. How many other events will you also
photograph that weekend?

Of course...that really depends on the weekend. From the moment of the booking I am in communication with the bride and groom and I am always well prepared. I also never shoot more than 1 wedding a day so rest assured you will have my full attention.

8. What kind of equipment will you bring with you?
How intrusive will lighting, tripods, other equipment or assistants be?

I shoot with a Canon 30d and use a wide variety of professional lenses, with zoom and wide angle being my favorite. I also prefer natural light for posed shots. During the ceremony you will never notice me, I am like a magical stealth ninja...I never get in the way and am never intrusive but still capture every moment of your event!

9. Do you develop your own film?

No. I usually spend about 40 hours in pre-development and then use talented local printers.

10. Can we buy the negatives from you?

No you cannot, the negatives are automatically yours as part of your package! I do not horde your precious photos for myself...I will make you a high resolution disc of your ready-to-print photographs which will be yours to keep forever!

Now that you have
asked these questions of me there are several questions you’ll want to ask yourself:

1. Do I like this person? Do I get along with them
or get a good feeling from them?

2. Do I like their work as a wedding photographer?
Is it well lit, focused, well framed? Looking at their books,
do I feel like I have a good feeling for the wedding?

I always encourage potential clients to meet with me and then decide if I am the photographer for them. I am not a salesman and I never pressure! Everyone has a different eye and a different style. The best way to decide if I am the photographer for you is to meet and then talk amongst yourself. I hope to meet with you soon! -David
